2.  How did the Columbian Exchange alter life in both sides of the Atlantic? What was the social class system like after the Spaniards took over? (p. 78-79 and your Social Class System Pyramid)

7th Grade Homework / Make-up Work

If you were absent on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 or if you are here to complete the homework, please read below:

701 & 702:

Do-now; Journal 12 - Pretend you are Christopher Columbus and write a journal entry describing what you see on October 12, when you land in the Bahamas. (2 paragraphs).

I graded Journals 1-10 and "Age of Discovery"

Then we watched two episodes on www.brainpop.com. The two episodes are "Christopher Columbus" and "Conquistador" The username is "Yonkers14" and the password "Yonkers". On a loose leaf, copy the graphic organizers for both episodes. The graphic organizer for Christopher Columbus on the front and the graphic organizer for Conquistador on the back.

Can't find the graphic organizer? When you find the episode, towards the bottom there are several links, one of the links says "Activities" and then click on "Graphic Organizer".

HOMEWORK: Early Explorations Exit Ticket (Answers found in notes "2.2 Early Explorations")

1. What Europeans arrived in America first?
2. Around what year did the Vikings arrive in America?
3. What year did Columbus arrive in America?

     Journal 1 – What is the difference between a political and physical map? Globe and map projection?
