Aim: What were the long term and immediate causes of the Great Depression?  

Bell Ringer: Stamp and review Journal 61. Describe a New Deal program.  

Objectives: 

1. 1. Students will examine causes, course, and consequences of the Great Depression and the New Deal. Also Assessed Benchmarks ·  

2. 2. Students will evaluate how the economic boom during the Roaring Twenties changed consumers, businesses, manufacturing, and marketing practices. 

Agenda: 

1. Bell Ringer (10 min)  

2. Complete the note-taking guide (Attachment D, pp. 3-5) using your textbooks (McGraw-Hill United States History & Geography pp. 248-261) (15 min)  

3. Have students create a poster to promote one of the New Deal programs (Attachment F).
