Aim: What made it difficult for union workers to create larger industrial unions?  

Bell Ringer: Complete “Problems Faced by Industrial Workers” on the note-taking guide while listening to classmates describe these problems. Submit “Labor Movement Vocabulary Posters” 

Objectives: 

1. 1. Students will examine the social, political, and economic causes, course, and consequences of the second Industrial Revolution that began in the late 19th Century.  

2. 2. Students will examine causes, course, and consequences of the labor movement in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.  

3. 3. Students will review different economic and philosophic ideologies.
