Aim: What impact did civilians and soldiers have on the war effort? 
Bell Ringer: Journal 6 – If you were Jefferson Davis, what actions would you have taken to defend and protect the South? Keep in mind the circumstances.  
Objectives:  
  1. Students will utilize case studies to explore social, political, legal, and economic relationships in history.  
  1. Students will identify and reflect on life in the South and North in order to visualize how civilians made an impact on the war.  
  1. Students will identify Union, Border, and Confederate states.  
Agenda: 
  1. Bell Ringer (10 min) 
  1. Grade & review yesterday’s test (10 min) 
  1. Notes “Life in the South and North” (15 min) 
  1. Map Activity (Shade in Union, Border, and Confederate states) (15 min)
